Olluco Bistro

So my husband and I stumbled upon this place through a Facebook forum that was making suggestions about local Mexican restaurants. The venue was Peruvian-owned with a flare of local Peruvian favorites but also included bits of other iconic Spanish dishes! Think of Latin fusion with a flare of modern American! To begin i had the Anticuchos Steak skewers. Oh my, how tender and full of indigenous flavors! My husband ordered the chef's special Smoked brisket sandwich, which yields a brioche bun of smoked brisket, special slaw, crispy fried onion, and house-made BBQ sauce! Lastly, my daughter indulged in a classic Cuban-style sandwich, as you know is either a hit or miss but Olluco Bistro knocked it out of the park with a flavor powerhouse of a sandwich! Olluco Bistro is beyond your typical Latin food envoy. It's an elevated take on the cult classics that will satisfy your palate!

We got the Cuban, the Peruvian skewers, Mac n cheese and ribs. The food was so delicious! The staff was also so super sweet! 10/10 recommend

I found this hidden gem randomly thru Google Maps. I thought it was a nice sit down restaurant but It is a tiny small place that doesn't have a lot of seating. While walking in and listening to the music they had on and seeing staff busy working, I sensed the food must be really good. By far, this place got the best ribs and brisket in the area! The meat fell out of the bone so easily, soft, moist and melted on my tongue. The staff were all nice. I will definitely go back again soon after dreaming about those ribs! Highly recommended for take out!!

Finally stopped in and was not disappointed. Wish we went earlier! Great Cuban barbeque. We got the Cuban sandwich and steak Lomo with sides of Mac and cheese, potato salad and a Carne empanada. Everything was amazing! Will be back soon. If you've been thinking about it, stop in next time you drive by.

Only ever ordered take out from here but it is incredible. Absolute hidden gem with some of the best peruvian food I've had the pleasure of eating. Probably tried over half the menu at this point, I'm not a huge BBQ fan but the brisket and smoked wings were incredible. The star in their menu is the Anticuchos skewers. I wish they would bottle and sell the sauce it comes with. It's incredible every time, best restaurant in the area, probably the best in Sussex County. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food!

I love this place! The ribs are fall off the bone, the wings are amazing and the Cuban sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend. The food is amazing and they are open until 9pm Thursday- Saturday!!

I loved the ribs, brisket and wings. All were cooked just right. I would definitely eat from here again. Ribs had bones fall off Wings have amazing flavor Brisket was juicy and not Overcooked. What I ordered was 10/10. My friends were not crazy about the mac n cheese saying it lacked flavor.

For the best takeout sandwiches this place can’t be beat - always excellent! Fries are extremely good super crispy and not dry, Cheeseburger is super flavourful juicy and meat is cooked perfectly. Melts in your mouth and always always always worth the good price. Pulled pork sandwich delicious as well as the brisket, which is so juicy and both are smoked exceptionally well overnight which leads to the strong taste and smoky aroma. Highly recommend. Unfortunately though there are only two tables in the place though and it is really empty
